Microsoft claimed the metaverse as a basis for paying $68.7 billion for game developer Activision Blizzard, claiming that the purchase
will give “key components for the metaverse.” Similarly, Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, has also gambled on the metaverse
by naming his social media firm, Meta. For years, Google has been working on metaverse-related technologies. Moreover, Apple is
working on its own similar products.

items to personalize their avatars. Moreover, you can also withdraw your assets to a digital wallet and buy real-life products.
Virtual reality is also becoming more sophisticated in video games. Sony announced the $400 PlayStation VR in 2016, virtual reality headgear
that connected to its PlayStation 4 console to play VR video games. Sony announced a second-generation headgear for the PlayStation 5
earlier this month.
During the pandemic’s online-everything transition, the metaverse seems to have gained steam. Today, the phrase refers to a wide range of
interactions, surroundings, and materials.
Most social media, as well as video games in which users or developers may create their own places or platforms, have metaverse characteristics.
